Matt Jones is a native of Bryan, OH, located in the far northwest corner of the state. Matt went on

to play college basketball at the Juco and NAIA levels. At the conclusion of his college basketball career, it was clear in his mind that a job in basketball was the natural progression for his life. A move to Mobile, AL to chase his basketball coaching dreams happened months after completing undergrad.

Spending 2-years cutting his teeth coaching at the NCAA D2 level in the Deep South opened a myriad of opportunities for Coach Jones. After the completion of his masters degree and time as a

graduate assistant coach, Matt spent time coaching basketball at the collegiate-level at Miami Dade College (assistant coach) and at Combine Academy at the prep school-levels (program director & head coach) in the Charlotte, NC area. Through a variety of life experiences, he went on to start his own basketball training and consulting business in the Summer of 2018 after moving to Lexington, KY. Coach Jones continued to coach college basketball at Transylvania University (NCAA D3) during the 2018-19 season. Coach Jones spent the 2019-20 season as a professional assistant coach for Maccabi Ashdod and head coach Brad Greenberg in the highly-respected. Israeli Premier League. Most recently, he served as head coach for KB Vllaznia in Albania's top professional league during the 2021 Covid-shortened season. In 2023, Jones led the on-court instruction for NBA Pre=Draft Workouts for a boutique NBA agency with 4 players who received 8+ NBA workouts each leading up to the NBA Draft which resulted in multiple Exhibit 10 and 2-way contracts. MJH LLC frequently works at the youth, high school, collegiate, and professional levels of basketball providing services such as camp & event management, talent evaluation, basketball skill development, event support, product distribution, and more.
