OPEN GYM

MJH Open Gym is an Invite-Only playing atmosphere between the months of May and September.

Different from most Summer open gyms due to the required pace of play and coaching aspect, players are pushed to think and play hard for short stretches at a time. These sessions are great opportunities for players to work on the application of new skills and concepts as part of their off-season improvement.

MJH Open Gym routinely features 15 players per session ranging from high-level high school to collegiate to professional athletes.

 

The goal for every open gym is to

be the BEST RUN in the city that night with the

BEST PLAYERS, BEST CONTENT, and BEST FORMAT.

+ Dynamic Motion Patterns (Stretch)

+ Full Court Shooting (Warmup)

+ Halfcourt 3-Pass 4 on 3 (Decision-Making + Teaching)

+ Halfcourt 5 on 5 Offensive Concept (Teach + Live Play

+ Fullcourt 5 on 5

5 on 5 Rules & Guidelines

+ Points are 1's and 2's

+ Games are to 5 straight

+Scorer of 5th point must hit a freethrow to "clinch" the win

+ Offense & Session Leader call fouls

*Transition + General Defensive Effort is a non-negotiable
